Mint Sweet Tea

This is your basic sweet tea recipe but with a healthier sugar choice and optional mint leaves. So incredibly refreshing, it can be served hot or cold.

Ingredients
  

  • 2.5 Liters Filtered Water
  • 4 Tea Bags, Quart size
  • ½ cup Raw Honey* or sub honey granules**
  • ¼ cup Fresh Mint Leaves

Instructions
 

  • Place tea bags and filtered water in a stainless steel pot and set over high heat. Warm until it almost simmers, and then remove from heat.
    2.5 Liters Filtered Water, 4 Tea Bags, Quart size
  • Stir in honey* or honey granules and mint leaves. Allow the tea to cool completely.
    ½ cup Raw Honey* or sub honey granules**, ¼ cup Fresh Mint Leaves
  • Pour through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher or jug. Discard the tea bags and mint leaves. Place tea in the fridge to chill. Serve over ice on a hot day. It's also great warm.

Notes

*Children under the age of 1 should NOT consume honey. (Yes, you can substitute another sweetener but honey is preferred for its natural medicinal attributes.)
**If using honey granules or regular cane sugar, increase the amount to 1 1/2 cups.
